The College of Business and Technology is dedicated to the concept of providing full-time professional advisors for all majors in the College.

The academic advisors work closely with all University offices and departments to assist students in utilizing the resources the University offers.

Why Do I Need an Academic Advisor?

You and your academic advisor share an important responsibility.

Ultimately you are responsible for your graduation requirements, but advisors are here to clarify University policies and procedures and to assist in developing your degree plan.

Each semester all students must meet with their academic advisor in order to register for the next semester.

You will see your advisor to

Explore majors within the College and/or University

Drop a class
Review degree plan
Make a schedule change
Declare or change your major *
Obtain career information
Investigate internship possibilities
Apply for graduation

*Note: To declare any Business major, students must:

Complete at least 60 semester hours
Complete business tool courses
- Mathematics 137 and Mathematics 138 or 139
- Accountancy 201 and 202
- Economics 231 and 232
- DS 203
Attain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5
