Description: Commenting on and assessing student writing can often seem the most daunting task for us as teachers. In this workshop, we will explore best practices to help you minimize the time you spend commenting on writing assignments, while maximizing the utility of those comments for students. We will also discuss methods for building writing assignments that allow teachers to focus on formative assessment while still allowing for summative assessment.
