WIU Community Music School Voice Lessons

Purpose

Voice lessons are currently being offered through the WIU Community Music School for singers of all levels and styles. Students study in a one-on-one situation with their private teacher, a WIU vocal major. Lessons are taught once per week and can be 30, 45 or 60 minutes in length.

Lesson Times

Lessons are currently offered Monday-Friday in Browne Hall. Lesson times and room locations in Browne Hall are arranged with the instructor.

Ashley Winston, Voice instructor

Ashley Winston is a senior vocal music education major at WIU. She is a member of Western's University Singers, Concert Choir and was Peppermint Patty in Western's Opera on Wheels production of Your A Good Man Charlie Brown in 2011. During previous summers, Ashley has taught private piano and vocal lesson in her hometown, Rushville, IL. She has also been in over ten musical productions through Rushville's Summer Community Theater throughout her life. During her teenage career at Rushville Industry High school, she was Gertrude in Suessical, Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast and other varying roles.
