    Cierra Winters, an elementary education major from Bowen, IL, has been selected as the Fall 2009 Department Scholar. She has also been selected as the college's nominee for the Student Laureate Award and will be considered for the Western Illinois University Student Laureate Award. Cierra has a strong record of scholarship and community involvement.
