Rush

Spring and Fall Rush

Every semester rush is a four day event, usually from Monday to Friday. All WIU students are given the opportunity to see all the fraternity’s on campus. Throughout the rush week Delta Sigma Phi provides guest speakers as well as active brothers to give information on who and what Delta Sigma Phi is all about. Since rush is so short Delta Sigma Phi Gamma Kappa chapter has devised a six to eight week long pledge process that lets active members and pledges get to know each other.

Bid Process
The last process we go through is the bid session. A bid is an invitation to pledge our fraternity. This is the process in which the active members gather as a group and discuss which men would be the best addition to Delta Sigma Phi. We encourage you to not be intimidated by this process; we are looking for all around good guys to help keep Delta Sigma Phi the best! If you do not get a bid the first time, we encourage you to come out again and again. Please realize that Rush week is only 4 days, which means we only have 4 days to establish a relationship with each person who comes out!

Pledging
Throughout the six to eight week pledge period we expect our prospective brothers to do as much as they can, to the best of their ability. None of our pledges will be subjected to hazing, as we are a haze free organization. Some of the projects pledges will be involved in include: community service, philanthropy, fundraiser, and pledge/house project. We also encourage our prospective Delta Sigs to get involved with our intramurals.

Anyone interested in becoming a Delta Sig should please contact D.J. Johnson .
