Scott Slovic received his BA in English at Stanford University, and his MA and PhD in English and American Literature at Brown University. Currently he is professor of literature and environment at Nevada, where he chairs the graduate program in literature and environment. He directed the Center for Environmental Arts and Humanities at Nevada from 1995 to 2002.
Scott's primary field is American Environmental Literature. His current work focuses on the psychological, philosophical, and rhetorical aspects of environmental literature

Scott is intending to talk about his work on energy literature and his efforts to juggle this work of consciousness with a lifestyle that sometimes strains the limits of conscience. More information will be forthcoming.
