Dr. Michael Lockett

Dr. Michael Lockett is one of many successful ACI graduates from Western Illinois University.  In the past he has been a teacher and an educational leader in McLean County Unit District #5, a career which spanned 21 years.  Along with this, Dr. Lockett has also worked as a school administrator with the Peoria public school system for twelve years.  For ten of his twelve years as an administrator he was also the director of the Title 1 and summer programs in the district.  Dr. Lockett has recently retired from administration, after a final two years as the principal of the Greely Alternative High School, in Peoria, Illinois.

Gary Jackson

Gary Jackson has been in the administrative/management field for 25 years, and is a past graduate of the ACI program at Western Illinois University.  Over the years Jackson has become involved in many programs/clubs.  He has been a program development chairperson for the Kenosha Sports Advisory Committee, a Children First program Family Court Moderator, the president of the Family Discovery School, a trainer for Princeton’s Tregoe Advanced Leadership Analytic Process, and a past judge for the Miss America pageant, at both the local and state level.  Along with all of this, he has also been an adjunct faculty member for the College of Lake County, at which his courses include: Family Parenting, Physical Education, Advanced Fitness, Coaching, Advanced Basketball and Business.

Michael Oberhaus

Michael Oberhaus, a graduate of the ACI program, has been the Associate Superintendent for Operations and Quality for the Rock Island School District #41 for 21 years.  Since the late 1970’s this district has experienced a decline in student enrollment, which has, in turn, called for staff reductions.  Most recently, according to Oberhaus, this decline has resulted in the need to complete a comprehensive, long-range facility study, focusing on school size and number of schools, grade configuration and school choice options.

Cathy Skinner

Cathy Skinner, a past graduate of the ACI program at Western Illinois University, is another accomplished and experienced school administrator.  Currently, Skinner is the Assistant Superintendent for Personnel for the Woodridge School District #68.  In June, she will have completed her third year at this position.  Previously Skinner was the Director for Human Resources at District U-46, in Elgin, Illinois.  Skinner held this position, at the second largest school district in Illinois, for 23 years.

Curtis Saindon

Curtis Saindon, a graduate of the ACI program at Western Illinois University, is enjoying a career that is flourishing and expanding.  For the past eleven years Curt has been the Assistant Superintendent for Business Services with the Kankakee School District #111.  As of July 1st he will be moving to the Frankfort School District #157-C, where he will also be the Assistant Superintendent for Business Services.

Maria Dunstan

Maria Dunstan, a past graduate of the ACI program at Western Illinois University, has been with the Macomb CUSD #185 since 1979.  In these 28 years, Maria has had a “very satisfying career in education.”  She also stated that “All of my educational experiences from the classroom to the central office have been excellent.”  On June 30, 2007, though, Maria will be retiring from the educational field, and looks forward to spending her time at her family’s cabin in Minnesota.
