Sesame Teague earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Grambling State University (Mass Communications/ Public Relations 1992) Grambling, Louisiana. She received her Masters of Education Degree from Southern University and A & M College (Administration and Supervision 2000) Baton Rouge, LA. While working on teacher certification in Special Education she also attended University of New Orleans.
Sesame relocated to the Quad-Cities area (of which she’s a native) due to being displaced by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, which destroyed much of New Orleans and her home. Because of the devastating effect the hurricane had on many individuals, she is interested in exploring the emotional effects of the hurricane on teachers and students and how it affects teacher performance and student achievement.
Ms. Teague has experience as an Administrative Assistant (Assistant Principal), School Test Coordinator, Student Assistant Team Chairperson, and 504 Accommodations Chairperson. Sesame is currently heading up the Educational Leadership Department’s Diversity Partners Program which seeks to recruit individuals of diverse background for the Educational Leadership Program..
