The Department of Geography is pleased to welcome three new faculty members: Dr. Marcus Büker, Dr. Sunita George, and Dr. Ranbir Kang.
Marcus Büker, a 2004 Ph.D. graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, will teach classes in meteorology. His research interests include atmospheric modeling, dealing primarily with ozone transport and gravity waves. Dr. Büker taught previously at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and served a research fellow at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Sunita George, a 1999 Ph.D. graduate of the University of Georgia will teach courses in human and regional geography. Her research interests include the geography of social excusion, race and ethnicity. Dr. George taught previously at Alabama State University.
Ranbir Kang, a 2007 Ph.D. graduate of Oklahoma State University, will teach classes in landforms and GIS. His research interests include fluvial geomorphology, applied geomorphology, stream channel response to urbanization, urban streams, and watershed management and modeling. Dr. Kang taught previously at the George Washington University.
