The WIU Guitar Festival is held annually on the campus of Western Illinois University. The festival features performances, clinics, lectures and master classes by internationally recognized classical and jazz guitarists. Admission to the festival, and all related events, is free and open to the public.
The second annual WIU Guitar Festival will be held in the COFAC recital hall and Tri-States Public Radio on the campus of Western Illinois University from April 8-10th 2011.

Each year the WIU Guitar Festival will honor one up and coming jazz or classical guitarist with the festival's "Featured Young Artist Award." Winners of this award will be selected by the festivals board of advisors and will be featured during one of the festival's evening concerts.
This year's recipient is Christopher Davis from Fort Worth, TX.
