Health Education
The Department of Health Sciences at Western Illinois University offers a specialized program of study leading to the Master of Science degree in Health Education on both the Macomb and Quad Cities campuses. Candidates may choose an emphasis in community health education or school health education. Health educators prepared within the graduate program typically are hired as practitioners in and directors of health education and health promotion programs in community health agencies, hospitals, business and industry, health related governmental departments, and private organizations; as health education teachers in local school districts; as supervisors of health education at the local and state levels; and as college and university health educators.Please review the Graduate Catalog for our program requirements.
