Interdisciplinary Studies Program

The WIU Career Development Center (CDC) is an excellent resource for students seeking internships or career opportunities. The mission of the Career Development Center is to support students and alumni by empowering individuals to create and achieve their career goals through active career planning and preparation.  The CDC offers engaging programming through individual appointments, workshops, and partnerships with employers and faculty/staff members to ensure a successful transition between college and professional careers.

The Interdisciplinary Studies program (ISP) concentrations require internships. Students designing their own interdisciplinary curriculum may elect to incorporate an internship experience into their academic plan to further enhance their career preparation. Internships are an excellent means of gaining practical experience as well as establishing contacts for reference or future employment.
