MSG Moody joined the Army in 1984 as a 19D Cavalry Scout.
He graduated from the primary leader development course, Basic Non Commissioned Officer Course, Advanced Non Commissioned Officer Course, Bradley Master Gunner School, Battle Staff School, Combat Lifesaver School, Instructor Trainer Course and the First Sergeant Academy.
He has served in numerous leadership positions in Infantry, Armor and Cavalry units in his 23 years of service. His deployments and tours of assignment include: Germany, Korea, Bosnia, Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom.
His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal with Valor, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendations Medal (8), Army Achievement Medal (12), Good Conduct Medals, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, NATO Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal (Kingdom of Saudia Arabia), Kuwait Liberation Medal (Government of Kuwait) and the Combat Action Badge.
MSG Moody is married and he has 2 children and a daughter on the way.
