Title: No-cost, low overhead iPad apps for enhancing classroom teaching and productivity.

Description: According to recent research on internet use, mobile devices will soon surpass desktop computers as the main means of accessing the web. Supporting this trend are the growing power and richness of mobile devices to enhance learning through the use of productivity and teaching applications. However, despite growth of these devices in education, the transition from desktop to mobile devices in the classroom can be challenging, including the cost of devices and applications, not to mention the changes in interface, configuration, and use of devices and applications to foster learning.

This table top presentation provides an overview of a number of free, easy to use applications to enhance classroom productivity and teaching including: collaborative brainstorming, interactive whiteboards, eBook collection management, and note taking tools, with a focus on minimizing hardware needs, while maximizing benefits of going mobile in the classroom for both students and instructors.
