Events
Formal Recruitment (September)
This is a GREAT opportunity for girls on campus to check out all of the sororities at WIU. Girls interested in greek life can talk with girls from each sorority, visit their houses, and see what they're all about! Then, a matching process puts each girl in the house that's right for them!
Homecoming (October)
Homecoming is a campus wide week full of fun and competition. Greeks, friends, and other organizations on campus compete in events all week long.
One of the events we participate in is Yell Like Hell, which is a cheerleading competition. Last year Phi Sigs took 1ST PLACE!
We also participate in Variety Show, where each group puts together their own act to perform for the rest of campus! Last year we got 2nd place!
Other various Homecoming events take place throughout the week and at the end of the week the scores are added up to reach a total and then first, second and third place are announced! Last year Phi Sigma Sigma took 1ST PLACE!!
Fall Party (October)
All of the Phi Sig ladies get together and invite dates and friends and we all take a bus out to some land where we have a party! We have tents set up, a DJ, camp fires, bags and lots of fun!
Semi Formal (December)
Everyone gets dressed up and we invite dates. We rent out a facility and have a classy party!
Exchanges (Year Round)
An exchange is an event we have with a fraternity to hang out and get to know other greeks. Our exchanges usually have fun themes like jersey night or a stoplight exchange for example, which is where you wear green if your single, yellow if it's complicated, and red if you're taken!
Senior Week (End of each semester)
At the end of each semester we have a full week dedicated to the graduating seniors! Each day there is a different event including a potluck, senior surprise, and senior wills!
Family Weekend (February)
For one weekend our families come to visit WIU and we have a catered dinner, open house, and brunch! It's a great way for our families to come see the Phi Sigma Sigma house and everything we've done all year.
Alumni Weekend (April)
All of the Phi Sigma Sigma Alumni members are invited to come back to WIU to visit their sisters on campus! We have appetizers, open houses, BBQs and fun all weekend.
Greek Week (April)
This week is completely dedicated to all the Greeks on campus! Sororities and Fraternities are grouped together to compete in the week's events. Last year we took 2nd place in the variety show!
Formal (April)
Phi Sigs invite dates and everyone one gets dressed up to party! We rent out a banquet hall, have our dinner catered and spend the night at a hotel! Lots of fun with friends, dates, and sisters!
