EI Rule 500

The requirements contained in this Rule are to define implementation of the Early Intervention Services System Act [325 ILCS 20] (hereafter "Act"), and Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) (20 USC 1400 et seq., as amended in 1997). The requirements describe the statewide early intervention service program for children, birth to 36 months old, who have disabilities due to developmental delay, have an eligible mental or physical condition that typically results in developmental delay, or have been determined through informed clinical judgment to be at risk of substantial developmental delay.
