Early Intervention Provider Payment Update Effective 07/24/14

The Early Intervention Bureau has secured funds to approve the following vouchers for payment.

As a reminder: At the end of each fiscal year (ending June 30) the EI program looks at the Dates of Service on Claims and separates weekly vouchers processed in the new fiscal year (starting July 1) into two files of the previous and the current fiscal year. We must follow State policy and procedures on using funds appropriately so as long as there is State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2014 funds available, we must pay SFY 2014 dates of service before paying SFY2015 dates of service. For this reason it is important that you watch your Provider Claim Summaries for the first few weeks of a new SFY to understand which vouchers will be processed first. For SFY2014, Invoice numbers beginning with S are SFY2014 and Invoice numbers beginning with T are SFY2015.

We have obligated all SFY2014 funds so effective with the weekly voucher processed 07/23/14 we are no longer splitting into SFY2014 and SFY2015. We have approved the following final SFY2014 portion of the 07/16/14 voucher which is showing on the IOC website now. The payments approved would be:

07/16/14: Invoice numbers beginning with S

Early Intervention is continually working to secure additional revenues in order to process payments. We are not always aware of when these funds may be released to the Early Intervention 502 Revolving Fund. We also must have the funds secured into the DHS accounting systems before payments can be made. IOC is only the first step in the process. While we understand the impact any delay has on every aspect of the Early Intervention Services System, we are not able to change the way the state process works. Early Intervention receives funding from multiple sources and every effort is made to reduce the impact of the lack of state funds available by utilizing every other source. As funds become available, payments will be made. Thank you for your support and continued patience.

Thank You!
