Early Intervention Training Program (EITP)
The Early Intervention Training Program at the University of Illinois (EITP) provides training opportunities for early intervention professionals providing services to infants and toddlers in Illinois. This is a program through the University of Illinois at the Champaign-Urbana campus, funded through a grant from the Illinois Department of Human Services Bureau of Early Intervention.
EITP is responsible for providing all required EI trainings to providers in the state of Illinois. Required trainings include, EI System Overview, Service Coordination, Parent Liaison, and EI Evaluation/Assessment trainings. EITP also provides a range of continuing professional education opportunities, including face-to-face workshops, webinars, online training, and conferences that are credited for Illinois early intervention credential renewal.
The EITP website includes information on EITP sponsored trainings and pre/post EI credit approval for trainings offered by other sponsoring organizations. The EITP Training Calendar includes trainings for Early Intervention credit that have been reviewed by EITP. These reviewed events are posted to our training calendar as a courtesy not as an endorsement. For information about obtaining pre/post EI credit approval for trainings not offered through EITP, please visit the EITP website’s credit request section.
