The Haeger Potteries®
The Craftsman's Mark® Since 1871
2004 marks the 133rd year of fine craftsmanship produced in the U.S.A. and the 65th year in Macomb.
In 1871, the same year of the great Chicago fire, a young German immigrant named David H. Haeger founded the company originally known as the Dundee Brickyard. (Headquartered on the clay-rich banks of the Illinois Fox River, just 45 miles northwest of Chicago)
Over the past 130 years the company has evolved to become The Haeger Potteries, one of the country’s most admired and respected artware manufacturers. The company’s history spans four generations from founder David H. Haeger, a German immigrant, to his great-granddaughter, Alexandra “Lexy” Haeger Estes, the company’s present-day chairman of the board and president. The transformation of this company from a small brick and tile maker to an artware powerhouse is a story of great determination and creative drive. All Haeger pottery is collectible.
