- Robert Crowe, a native of Macomb, Illinois and alumnus of Western Illinois University, is the author of two award-winning children’s books: Tyler Toad and the Thunder and Clyde Monster. Both books show children, in a fanciful way, how to deal with their fears. Crowe is also president of Creative Ideas, Inc., which is the parent company for Theatre in the Park at Lincoln’s New Salem historic site, and The Consortium Publishing Company.
