domestic partnership benefits (panel discussion of WIU and NIU)

This roundtable discussion will focus on issues related to obtaining and implementing domestic partner benefits: What are domestic partner benefits? Non-cash benefits (bereavement leave, for example), cash benefits (housing, health insurance, golf course membership). Who qualifies for these benefits? (Students, employees). How do you obtain these benefits? Which benefits are guaranteed by the state and which are generated by the institution? How do you build consensus for acquiring the benefits? What campus constituencies need to be brought into the conversation? How do you implement the benefits?
