Student Zimbra Migration
Students will be migrated from their current WebMail client to Zimbra beginning March 5, 2007. Learn more and see some new Zimbra 5.0 version highlights.

• Student who wish to migrate before the end of Spring Break can sign up for migration at https://www.wiu.edu/guava/email.sphp beginning March 3rd, with migrations to begin March 5th.
• All RAs and major student organization leaders will be automatically migrated to Zimbra on March 5th
• Students who do not opt-in the migrate prior to Spring Break will be automatically migrated beginning March 17th
  • Migration order as determined by student leaders serving on the E-mail Task Force will be Freshmen, Sophomores, Junior, Seniors, and Grad Students
• All folders and messages students have in their WebMail accounts will be automatically transferred to Zimbra.

Faculty/Staff Zimbra Migraiton
All faculty and staff were migrated to Zimbra from Outlook, GroupWise, AppleMail and a host of other email/calendar clients during Fall 2007. See the rapid progress that was made.

All students will be migrated from WebMail to Zimbra during Spring 2008, beginning with the major student organizations and RAs before Spring Break.

Benefits of Zimbra
With Zimbra you will be able to accomplish a multitude of tasks, all without leaving your email application. Within Zimbra you can read/send email, management appointment with its calendaring application, and more. Plus, since Zimbra is a browser-based application, you will have full access to Zimbra from wherever you have an Internet connection. And when Zimbra 5.0 is installed in February 2008, you will also have Task Lists, Shared Folders, and Shared Documents, among other new features.

Zimbra Learning Resources
A variety of Zimbra Training Resources which provide self-paced learning as well as offering Zimbra Tips to maximize your Zimbra experience.

• Animations are available that overview the Zimbra Collaboration Suite, as well as provide a more detailed look at the Mail, Calendar, Address Book, and Options features of Zimbra.
• A Users Guide is also available. This is similar to the online Help available from within Zimbra.
• PDF versions of a Quick Reference guide and a list of Keyboard Shortcuts are also provided.

Help - Frequently Asked Questions
A growing list of FAQs is designed to help answer most of your Zimbra questions. Not only are the FAQs searchable, but if you don't find what you are looking for, your search will automatically be added to the list for future FAQ updates. And be sure to take advantage of the opportunity to rate how well your questions have been answered.

PDA, Smart Phone, and Blackberry support
In general, PDAs, Smart Phones, and Blackberrys are supported if they have WiFi or Broadband access. This also includes the iPhone and iTouch. Note: users are responsible for wireless communication charges billed by their provider.
