Writing Instruction in the Disciplines

 


 

This web site is designed to hold information and resources for faculty members teaching WID courses at WIU as well as for any faculty who include writing in their courses. The WID committee would like to make this site responsive to faculty needs and invites questions, comments, and suggestions. Please email us your feedback.


What is WID?

The WID program at WIU has a standing Faculty Senate Committee to oversee the program (Committee Policies and Procedures). The Committee recommends approval of new WID courses or modifications of existing courses; the Committee is also conducting the new BOT-BA Writing reviews (contact WID Committee Chair for additional information). The Committee conducts ongoing review of how WID is being implemented in the different majors, and holds faculty development workshops for WID instructors.
