Check out the Office of Student Activities (OSA) in the University Union. OSA staff and students work year-round to plan and schedule events you want to hear, to see and to be part of.
The Donald S. Spencer Student Recreation Center is open to all students from early morning to late night to sneak in a workout, find a pickup game with friends, or grab a snack and relax at the Oasis. Personal trainers are available to tailor an individual’s fitness needs.
Western Illinois University's residential home is in Macomb (20,000), the seat of McDonough County. And Macomb rated among the top 100 small communities for best quality of life by Bizjournals.com 2006 study which factored in 12 indicators, including:

Campus Recreation also sponsors intramurals, special events, sports clubs and manages a disc golf course east of Lincoln/Washington halls.
Western’s Horn Field Campus, 92 acres of woodland and prairie, 5 miles south of Macomb.
