Western’s Guarantees

Cost Guarantee – locks in the cost of your education toward a four-year bachelor’s degree or toward a graduate degree. Western is the only state university to include fees and room and board in the four-year Cost Guarantee so you really can make financial plans.

Graduation Guarentee (GradTrac) – is Western’s graduation guarantee. New freshmen who meet GradTrac requirements will graduate in four years or their remaining tuition is waived. The majority of academic majors offer GradTrac.

Our Campuses

Founded in 1899 and opened in 1902, Western Illinois University-Macomb is a beautiful residential campus where some 11,200-plus students live and experience all that college has to offer, while enjoying the comfortable charm of historic Macomb (20,050).

Western Illinois University-Quad Cities, 70 miles north of Macomb, provides select bachelor and master’s degree programs to 1,200 adult professional and working students in the metropolitan Illinois-Iowa Quad Cities (350,000). The only public university in the Quad Cities, Western is working on expanding to a Riverfront Campus to be able to serve some 3,000 Quad Cities-area students.

The Princeton Review ranked Western as one of the “Best in the Midwest Colleges” in 2006, 2005, 2004.

Western Illinois ranks among 24 public universities in the Midwest top tier of 71 masters institutions and 70th in all public masters comprehensive universities by U.S. News and World Report, 2006.

Accreditation

Western Illinois University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association. Individual programs have unique accrediting bodies as well.
