Program Overview
The Graphic Communication major prepares students for professional or technical careers in the graphic and printing industry. The curriculum has a strong core foundation in the knowledge and skills of design fundamentals, combined with application of advanced production and electronic media techniques. Traditional processes are taught along with training on state of the art hardware and software to produce printed and video materials.
Electronic desktop publishing, presswork, color separation, production estimating, and composition are skills students learn. A required internship further prepares students to work in the field after graduation. Graphic Communication majors have careers in advertising, design, publishing, and more.
