Program: Interdisciplinary Studies

Program Overview

The Interdisciplinary Studies Program offers creative alternatives for students who wish to design a curriculum of study tailored to individual academic or professional needs and for students intent on pursuing new, emerging fields of study.

The Interdisciplinary Studies Program challenges students to make deliberate, meaningful choices in the development and execution of coherent plans of study that draw on the resources from two or more academic departments.

Approximately 1/3 of Interdisciplinary Studies graduates complete an optional internship as part of their curriculum. Internships are an excellent means of gaining practical experience as well as establishing contacts for reference or future employment.

Recent graduates have entered a variety of professional fields, including, but not limited to the following: Advertising, Law, Public Service, Artist Promotion, Military, Sales, Human Services, Ministry, Sport Promotion, Higher Education, Public Relations, and Youth Development
