Quad Cities River Bandits Groundscrew Internship - Summer 2010

The Quad Cities River Bandits is offering a summer internship program aimed at students who are looking to succeed in the field of Sports Turf Management. Not only will the students learn the ins and outs of Minor League Baseball Operation, they will also be given the opportunity to work on what will be the top playing surface in all of the Midwest. This off-season, the River Bandits have undertaken a massive field renovation project to bring the playing field up to Major League standards.

The internship program is aimed at preparing the student to take on their own playing surface by the time they leave here. The student will be responsible for day to day maintenance on the field and the stadium itself.

This is a progressive work environment with over a decade of Sports Turf Management knowledge on its staff. The River Bandits are looking for an intern who would be available from March to September. This is a paid internship with paid housing available from May to August.

Interns in the past have gone on to work for golf courses, football fields, and also landed jobs in Professional Baseball.
