Agricultural Council

Coordinates and unites the activities of the specialized agriculture student organizations. Sponsors activities having general agricultural interest.

Agribusiness Club

The Agribusiness Club was created to promote career opportunities in agribusiness.

Agricultural Mechanization Club

Provides opportunities for those interested in agricultural engineering/mechanization to further their education in the field, develop leadership abilities, and serve the university and the agricultural community. Activities of the Club include a close cooperation with industry as demonstrated by the sponsorship of the Agricultural Mechanization Show, which is the largest event of its kind in the Nation that is organized and conducted by college students.

Ag-Vocators

Promotes occupations and advancements in the agriculture field. Ag-Vocators work to increase the quality and quantity of agriculture students at WIU through recruiting. For more information, click here.

Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity

Enhances professionalism, scholarship, ethics, community service, and brotherhood among men in agriculture.

Alpha Gamma Sigma Fraternity

Enhances professionalism, scholarship, ethics, community service, and brotherhood among men in agriculture.

Alpha Zeta

A national honorary agriculture fraternity that stresses scholarship of the individual, leadership in public and university life, and service to the university and to fellow agriculture students.

Collegiate FFA

Provides prospective agriculture teachers and others interested in agriculture with experiences in leadership development, which strengthens confidence in the future of agricultural education occupations. The chapter hosts section and district public speaking, agricultural mechanics, livestock, state forestry, FFA contests and other professional activities with vocational agriculture instructors. Forestry Club

The Forestry Club is a non-profit organization tht is affiliated with the Department of Agriculture. The Forestry Club is also the charter organization for the Western Illinois University Student Branch of the Student Society of Arboriculture, which is an organization affiliated with the International Society of Arboriculture. Forestry Club/WIUSB meets to promote higher education standards among the students of forestry and related fields, to gain experience that is not able to be taught in the classroom, and to generate credible relations regarding the practice of forestry within the community. Hoof-N-Horn

A chapter of the National Block and Bridle Club promotes a higher scholastic standard, a spirit of fellowship, and brings about a closer relationship among students who have an interest in animal science.

Horticulture Club

The Horticulture Club was created to educate and promote horticulture.

Livestock Judging

Represents WIU at state and national livestock judging contests in the Senior College Division. It welcomes students interested in expanding their knowledge of livestock, evaluating livestock, developing communication skills, and competing on the superior level of national competition. WIU team-members strive for team awards, as well as individual accomplishments.

Sigma Alpha Sorority

Promotes a professional image and sisterhood among women in agriculture.

WIU Trading Group

A group of students who are interested in futures and options markets, and gain trading experience using 7 market quote systems that download real-time market information from Chicago, New York, London, and Singapore. Club-members use proprietary software to simulate futures and options trades.

CQG for Windows is provided by CQG. Two AgDaily systems are provided by DTN. Real-time futures prices are provided by the Chicago Board of Trade, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, LIFFE, and SGX.
