In-State Tuition Offered to Students in Missouri, Iowa and Wisconsin

Despite being "out-of-state" residents, college students from Missouri, Iowa and Wisconsin now have the same benefits as Illinois residents: in-state tuition and fees from Western Illinois University.

Western's Board of Trustees recently approved granting in-state tuition and fees to students residing in Missouri, Iowa and Wisconsin, beginning Fall 2009. While nearly 10,000 students hail from the Prairie State, approximately 745 students come to Western from the Show Me, Hawkeye and Badger states.

2009-2010 Theme

This year's theme will focus on Dollars and Sense: Personal Finance to World Poverty.

Each year, the Western Illinois University campus and Macomb-area communities come together for numerous activities and programs focused on the University theme. These events result in discussions both in and outside of our classrooms and provide a platform for all voices to be heard on such topics as civility, social justice, civic engagement, cultural diversity, global challenges and personal responsibility.
