Toastmasters Meetings
The WIU-Quad Cities campus will be hosting a pair of Toastmasters meetings in early December. The first will be Friday, December 4 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. in Room 106. The next will be Tuesday, December 8 from 4:00-5:00 p.m. in Room 115.
SOBAT Food Drive
The Society of Business & Technology (SOBAT) is collecting non-perishable food for the River Bend Food Bank that serves the Quad Cities.
Items that are in highest demand include cereal, tuna, snack bars, canned fruit, canned vegetables, boxed pasta (macaroni, spaghetti, etc.), peanut butter and jelly.
The collection box is located on the first floor by the ATM until December 11.
International Admissions Advising
The WIU-Quad Cities campus will be offering "International Admissions Advising" for prospective undergraduate & graduates on Wednesday, December 9 from 2:00-7:00 p.m.

Fall Book Buyback
The fall textbook buyback will take place on the WIU-Quad Cities campus on Wednesday, December 16 from 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. and on Thursday, December 17 from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
VITA Program Training
Do not miss the upcoming Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program training in the Quad Cities! It will take place on Saturday, January 23 from 5:30–9:00 p.m. and on Sunday, January 24 from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance coming Spring 2010 helps lower income families file their taxes at no charge.
NO ACCOUNTING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!
During the two-day training you will receive information regarding the tax law and acquire the knowledge you will need to prepare taxes. There will also be training on TaxWise, which is the software we will be using.
We will be preparing taxes at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center in Rock island.
