Follow The WIU Alumni Association online
The WIU Alumni Association has worked hard to provide more opportunities to stay connected to Western through our social media sites in the past year. We're pleased to announce more exciting changes to our sites, and we hope you will JOIN THE CROWD!
Whether you like to post videos, photos or news, or if you just enjoy viewing our posts and those of others, social media is a great way to stay involved with your alma mater and the Alumni Association.
If you have not yet made the leap to join the social media craze, we hope you will consider it. If you want to try, but need some assistance, we are happy to help.
Be on the look-out for upcoming contests and social media-exclusive content. It pays to lurk on our pages...
At the beginning of May, we will be sharing pictures on our Alumni Facebook page of the many places our Alumni and Friends lived while at WIU! If you would like to see a shot of your former home, let us know and we'll be sure to add it to the list and take a snapshot of it. Email your suggestions by April 18 to email@example.com.
In addition to our own social networking site RockeNetwork, the WIU Alumni Association is now on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Flickr, foursquare and YouTube! Create a free Facebook.com, Twitter.com or Linkedin.com account to begin receiving up-to-the-minute news and information from the Western Illinois University Alumni Association, even when you are away from your computer. You do not need a Flickr.com or YouTube.com account to view the Alumni & Friends Event Photos and videos. And the next time you are on campus, use your foursquare.com account and check into the WIU Alumni House.
