Western Grad Joins Alumni Staff

Knupp named associate director of alumni programs

Jana Poliska Knupp '02 '04 has been named associate director of alumni programs at Western.

Knupp previously was the program director of the Illinois Agricultural Leadership Foundation in Macomb. Prior to that position she was an intern in Western's Alternative Crops Program and a graduate research assistant at WIU.

Knupp earned her master of business administration degree and her bachelor's degree in agriculture from Western.

"Jana's experience in programming and her familiarity with the University allows her to step into the role of associate alumni director and further enhance the association's commitment of excellence," said Alumni Director Amy Spelman (MS) '98. "We're glad to have Jana as part of our team."

The associate alumni director assists the director in the management and administration of all staff, plans alumni events held around the world, works with other departments on alumni-related topics, assists in coordination of the WIU Alumni Council, and advises the Student Alumni Council.
