2nd assignment: Expressive use of text

The purpose of this assignment is to gain experience using InDesign and designing only with text.

Create a letter-size page in InDesign (8-1/2 x 11") that uses multiple text frames. Visually express the meaning of (a section of) a poem, quotation or lyrics by utilizing the design elements and principles. I suggest using fewer than four different fonts and four different colors (you can change the tint percentage of each color).

Written portion - For the written portion of this assignment, you will need to write:

1. In one sentence, define the message/meaning of the text that you have selected
2. Discuss the colors and value contrast you have used
3. What font(s) did you select. Discuss your selection(s)
4. What is the emphasis of this composition. Discuss how and why you made this the emphasis.
