This
exhibition presents the surreal imagery of Michael
Barnes. His prints, many of which combine digital and
traditional intaglio and lithographic printmaking techniques,
and drawings depict an unusual synthesis of the observed and
the imagined world. Michael Barnes is assistant professor
of art at Northern Illinois University, DeKalb. He received
his B.F.A. degree from Alma College, Alma, Michigan and his
M.A. and M.F.A. degrees in printmaking from the University

Individual Artist Fellowship. His award-winning artwork has
been exhibited throughout the United States and abroad. He
is represented by Kevin Quandt Fine Art, Minneapolis and Cervini
