This exhibition features paintings by Kenneth Holder selected from over five-
hundred paintings and watercolors created during a five-year project to paint
landscape subjects along the trail of the Lewis and Clark expedition. These
paintings commemorate the bi-centennial of their historic 1804 - 1806 expedition
of the American West. Kenneth Holder, former Professor of Art at Western
Illinois University (1964 - 1969) is Professor Emeritus of Art at Illinois State
University and is widely known for his landscape paintings.
