This exhibition documents the Western Illinois University venue of the Onggi American Tour, a Korean pottery workshop held at the Department of Art during the Fall, 2001. The exhibit features pottery produced during workshop demonstrations by contemporary Korean Onggi potters Hyang-Jong Oh and Kang-Hyo Lee. Other tour venues included SUNY, Newpaltz, New York; Alfred University, New York; University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa; and California State University, Long Beach, California. The tour events were sponsored by the Korea Foundation, Seoul, Korea in concert with the American host institutions. The WIU venue and documentary exhibit were organized by WIU assistant professor of art Sun-Koo Yuh.
