I enjoy the exploration of conventional techniques as well as invented ones.  I am easily seduced by the reactive nature of mediums and surfaces.  I tend to use one image at a time and manipulate it through experimentation with different processes. I am drawn to objects because of their formal qualities, which usually contain organic shapes and colors.

Wife/Mother/Artist

I’ve spent the last four years exploring and at times struggling with my roles in life. Because I can’t separate the facets of myself I find that I take on “the domestic” in my paintings.  I do this through use of domestic pattern, repetition of form, and injecting the figure into various surfaces.

The premise of my work goes beyond just visual. I do this by using found
objects, painting them and putting them together. The pieces of work and the
subject matter is put together in a playful and quirky way. This allows the
viewer to touch the work making is more then just a visual experience.
