Secret,
multi-media installation |
In collaboration with WIU students, Paul
Guzzardo makes art and theatre out of a 1950's surveillance data
bank. Multi-media installations demonstrate an innovative approach
to experiencing new media. The once secret, now public, FBI files
of stage personality Josephine Baker and her relationship with
J. Edgar Hoover and radio personality Walter Winchell are activated
for visitors to wear, map and dance with. The exhibition and planned
theatrical performances of Guzzardo's Secret are held in conjunction
with the one-hundredth anniversary of Josephine Baker's birth.
Additional work by Paul Guzzardo can be
