This exhibition features recent works based on the impact of Hurricane Katrina by WIU associate professor of art Tim Waldrop. Raised in Biloxi, Mississippi, Waldrop has a deeply felt, personal connection to the devastation left by Hurricane Katrina. The artworks in the exhibition are the artist’s response to the physical, personal and human loss to nature’s fury in the form of this disastrous storm. Waldrop received his M.F.A. degree from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville. He has been a member of the Department of Art faculty at Western Illinois University since 2002.
