The Marian Grotto was dedicated at 10 a.m. Mass on Sunday, June 14, 1987. It was a gift from an anonymous donor. The Grotto was modeled after the
cave in Lourdes, France, where in 1858 the Virgin Mary is said to have appeared to St. Bernadette. The grotto is made of Anamosa Stone.
