This memorial to John Dillon (1831-1914) is a singular Romanesque pillar that rises from the center of its surrounding fountain. It stands at the foot of Main Street in Davenport, just east of LeClaire Park. Dillon was an influential judicial writer who served on the Supreme Court of Iowa. The memorial was completed in 1918.
