The eight stone relief figures within the entrance's archway were sculpted by Adolph A. Weinman, who designed the Mercury dime. These Classical figures represent banking, security, philosophy, law, commerce, industry, agriculture and labor. In this figure, law is symbolized by the two tablets of the Ten Commandments (the first laws) and a sword -enforcement of the law.
