"Invitation" is a 25-foot high painted aluminum sculpture located
in the Rock Island District. It was created in 1982 by Rockford artist, Gene
Horvath, for the First National Bank of the Quad-Cities.
Horvath has several additional works in the Quad-Cities. Among these works
are "Rhythm" at the Davenport Museum of
Art, "Meeting Place" on the Augustana
College campus, and "Essere Umano" at
the Rock Island Public Library.
