The west entrance to the Bettendorf Public Library has three distinctive sculptural "pages" that rise 45 ft. These pages symbolize the library's multiple functions, and re-emphasizes the importance of the printed page in our increasingly digital age. They build on the library's book motif sculpture by Ted McElhiney. The entrance and lobby's colors are also symbolic: green for growth, yellow for joy or excitement, blue for calmness, and red for strength.
