This aluminum sculpture has thirty-one quotes, suggested by Library patrons, inscribed on its pages. The quotes are from a great range of sources: including Plato, Nietzsche, Gandi, and Satchel Paige! The sculpture is ten feet in height. It weighs approximately 1,200 lbs.

Ted McElhiney has created many public works throughout the area. The abstract and conceptual character of this work, however, is quite different from McElhiney's recent figurative and increasingly naturalistic work.
