The sculpture of D. D. (Daniel David) Palmer was created by a chiropractic student, George Barton, in 1919.

The history of chiropractic education begins with its founder, D. D. (Daniel David) Palmer. The first classes of the Palmer School and Cure, later known as the Palmer Infirmary and Chiropractic Institute, were held in 1897.
