Auditions
Students who wish to major or minor in music must be accepted for music study by audition, and complete placement examinations in piano, aural skills, and written theory before receiving permission to register for lessons and specialized music courses.
Students wishing to transfer at the junior level must complete the Basic Music Skills Assessment before registering for upper-division courses.
The Audition Committee simultaneously evaluates auditionees for Entrance and for Music Service Awards and other scholarships. These awards are available to all University students.
