Eight Annual Science Education Conference: Friday, April 24, 2009

When: Friday, April 24, 2009. Registration begins at 8:00 am. Events will begin at approximately 8:30 am and conclude at approximately 2:45 pm.
Where: Waggoner Hall, Western Illinois University, Macomb, Illinois
Registration Fee:  $35.00 (payable to The Department of Biological Sciences)

The EIGHTH ANNUAL WIU SECONDARY SCIENCE EDUCATION CONFERENCE at Western Illinois University will be held Friday APRIL 24.  Registrationwill begin that day at 8am, the first general session will begin at approximately 8:30, and we will conclude the conference at approximately 2:45pm.  This conference is designed for high school science teachers across all disciplines.  We are still in the process of confirming speakers at this time but, as we have done for the past many years, are working to have a program that involves all areas of the sciences and a mix of activity-based and concept-based sessions.  We will also have two to three sessions that focus on students with special needs, RTI, and/or English Language Learners (ELL formerly ESL).
As in the past, verification forms for CPDU credit will be awarded participants at this meeting.  This should prove to be another informative and rewarding conference and we look forward to you joining us.
