There are many scholarships available to students. These scholarships listed below are specific to the BOT/BA degree program, but there are many others available.

BOT/BA Alumni Scholarship

History

One of the most important measures of an institution is the success of its alumni.  Nearly 7,000 people living across the United States and throughout the world are proud to trace their academic roots to Western Illinois University’s Board of Trustees Bachelor of Arts Degree Program. Each year BOT/BA alumni donate to provide current BOT/BA students with the necessary assistance that will aid them to receiving their degrees.

Recipients will be selected by the School of Extended Studies Alumni Scholarship Committee.

BOT/BA Presidential Scholarship

Criteria

  1. BOT/BA students must apply for this scholarship during their first year at WIU and in the BOT/BA degree program with no prior WIU credit. Upon award, WIU course enrollment required.
  2. Students must be in good academic standing.
  3. Students must have earned an ACT composite between 21 and 24 OR be 5 years out of high school.
  4. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to social responsibility that has resulted in significant personal growth. They will be expected to continue that commitment.

Return completed application and supporting documentation by July 1 to Board of Trustees Bachelor of Arts Degree Program, Western Illinois University, Horrabin Hall 6, 1 University Circle, Macomb, IL  61455. Terms

Scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $1000

Selection Process

Recipients will be selected by the director of the Board of Trustees Bachelor of Arts degree program, with final approval from the director of University Scholarship Activities.

Additional Comments

Financial need is not a consideration. The scholarship can be awarded to any student in their first year at WIU with the BOT/BA program.
